Hey,

in Poland, we still have to fight for the right to decide about our own bodies. Although abortion is a fundamental reproductive right, many of us are forced to seek help abroad, in countries where access to abortion is easier and not subject to so many restrictions. It is an absurd reality in which we have to travel hundreds of kilometers to receive care that should be available locally - in Poland. These trips not only involve financial and emotional costs, but also expose us to stress and risk. Every day, collectives like ours fight to provide support to those who need it and to change a system that, instead of protecting us, often restricts our rights.

About Us

We are an intersectional feminist collective. This means that we understand how different forms of oppression—based on gender, race, sexual orientation, or social class—intersect and reinforce each other. We have different backgrounds and are of different ages, but we are united by one thing: the belief that every pregnant person should have the right to self-determination. That is why we help everyone, regardless of their views and beliefs. Our goal is to decriminalize abortion at every stage of pregnancy.

We are open to your opinions. Our goal is continuous development, which is why we welcome any comments about our activities. We are happy to hear your advice on what we can do to help better.

We have been around since 2014 and are constantly changing. Sometimes there are only a handful of us and we are up to our ears in work, and sometimes we form a larger group and can afford to take a breather. Regardless of how many of us there are, we always have to balance our professional work, studies, private lives, and activism. Involvement in the collective is often intense and multifaceted: it is not only about organizing abortions, often under great time pressure, but above all about people, their emotions, and their stories.

Every day, we learn from each other, drawing strength from solidarity and mutual support. From time to time, we organize joint trips, house parties, and both abortion-related and non-abortion-related chats, because we all need moments of respite and normality.

We support and respect not only complete strangers in need, but also each other. Sisterhood is our most important bond.

What do we do?

Access to abortion: Our main goal is to ensure access to vacuum or pharmacological abortion for people living in Poland and Polish-speaking people living in Germany. To the best of our ability, we also help other people who need support in accessing abortion.

Access to information: Together with other groups, we have extensive knowledge about access to abortion in Europe and beyond. We share this knowledge with anyone who contacts us.

Support: Both our group members and volunteers who work with us help throughout the entire process. We provide emotional support, accompany you to the clinic, translate, and find accommodation.

Other procedures: We also help people who need sterilization or an IUD.
